A brief History of Eric Spencer
From humble beginnings in 1947 the present business of Eric Spencer is almost unrecognizable. What has been a constant factor is that of offering the very best in quality clothing and footwear, linked closely with a level of personal service second to none.
For over half a century we have built a reputation that is the envy of many. Bringing together an offer that combines established internationally recognized brands as well as some carefully selected ones from lesser-known suppliers.
Our two spacious shops on Church Street in the delightful Victorian spa town of Ilkley offer an unrivalled range of top quality Menswear and Countrywear. Overlooked by the famous 'Ilkla' Moor' with the unmistakable 'Cow & Calf' rocks, the town makes an ideal base for a short country break or for those wanting to explore the picturesque Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Also established over many years is our show unit, which enables us to exhibit our quality ranges at the country's leading agricultural shows, games fairs, country shows and a host of other country pursuit gatherings. From Cornwall to the Scottish Highlands, the Welsh cost to Norfolk our popularity and reputation has continued to grow.
