Seven generations of the Schoffel family have kept the original values of the company going. Founded in 1804 by Georg Schoffel, he recognised the market for quality and performance by launching the company with a small but carefully selected range of tweed clothing.
Obviously technical advances have been dramatic since those early days and Schoffell have always kept abreast with these improvements.
This is noticeable within their flagship 'Ptarmigan' coat, where the latest generation of Gore-tex fabrics are used to create a trusty and practical shooting coat that also lends itself to use as a general high performance coat for all outdoor use.
The ever popular fleece garments are worthy of close attention. The quality of the fleece used is second to none and in particular, when combined with the Gore-tex wind-stopper membrane (as in the Rutland jacket) goes to producing a great garment for cold, windy and dry days.
